shelff on iPhone Duo

shelff is a PDF reader and library for iPad and iPhone, built for reading books. Version 1.8 adds support for iPhone Duo. When the device is half open in book pose, a spread's gutter lands on the hinge, so a PDF reads like a printed book, and every interactive control keeps clear of the hinge region. The library grid aligns its columns with the hinge as well.

The captures below were taken on the iPhone Duo simulator with iOS 27.1 beta. They will be replaced with photos of the actual device after launch. Version 1.8 is planned for release before the Duo ships on October 23.

Book pose, immersive mode. The gutter of the two-page spread sits on the hinge, so the left and right pages fall on the two halves of the display.

With controls visible. The reader's toolbar moves into the vertical bar managed by the system, and the page slider stays on one side of the hinge.

The same library opened flat, as one wide six-column grid. On a flat Duo, on iPad, and on other iPhones, shelff looks and works as it does today.
